Brian Luckett has been named the Corporate and Donor Relations Coordinator at Patrick Henry Community College. He will work jointly with the Institutional Advancement and Workforce, Economic and Community Development divisions. A PHCC graduate and former Patrick Henry Scholar, Luckett comes to PHCC after working in the University of Virginia Athletic Department while earning his bachelor’s degree in government and master’s degree in higher education administration from UVA.

“I’m excited to return to PHCC and the area that I grew up in,” Luckett said. “PHCC gave me the opportunity to be successful in life and now I can play a role in giving others in the area that same opportunity.”

In his position, Luckett will be responsible for establishing relationships between area businesses, donors and the college. He will also assist with alumni relations and promoting the PHCC Foundation, which provides scholarship assistance to local students and additional funding for the college.

“Brian brings an understanding and passion for PHCC and the Foundation’s mission,” said Chris Parker, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement. “With his familiarity with PHCC and his previous experience, I am pleased to have such a successful and intelligent young man return to where his academic career began.”

A native of Rocky Mount, Luckett worked with Cable 12, a local television company in Franklin County, as an anchor, producer and sales manager while enrolled at PHCC. His experience also includes working with business and industry, students and educators in SkillsUSA, a career and technical student organization. While at the University of Virginia, Luckett worked with the Virginia Football Office as a student operations assistant and as a graduate assistant in the Office of Licensing and Trademark.

“My responsibilities at PHCC coincide perfectly with my experiences and interests,” said Luckett. “I am ready to give back to the college that gave so much to me and to help PHCC reach new heights.”

Luckett and his wife Megan, a graduate of George Mason University, reside in Rocky Mount.
