Patrick & Henry Community College Foundation is pleased to announce a year-long partnership with Brightspeed, which will be offering a student scholarship and sponsoring the athletic program, P&HCC Productions’ summer show, Trolls Jr., and Patriot Pantry for the 2026-2027 academic year.
“We are delighted to continue our partnership as a partner with Patrick & Henry Community College Foundation. Our cross-campus support of P&HCC students exemplifies our company’s mission of empowering the community,” said Sabrina Anderson, local marketing manager at Brightspeed.
Brightspeed is offering a $2500 scholarship to the Patrick & Henry Community College Foundation to award one student with a tuition-based Brightspeed Bright Futures scholarship this coming fall. For a student to be eligible for the scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria:
- Student is enrolled in or is enrolling in Patrick and Henry Community College
- Student must have a 2.5 or great GPA
- Students must reside in one of the following cities: Martinsville, Collinsville, Fielddale, Horsepasture, Ridgeway, Axton, or Stuart, VA.
Fans attending volleyball and basketball games in Stone Hall will see Brightspeed’s logo on Wingett Court as recognition for providing new equipment & uniforms and helping to provide pre- and post-game meals for student-athletes.
To date, Patriot Pantry has served 114 students through 267 visits in 2026, during which 4,134.4 pounds of food were distributed. Support from Brightspeed will ensure that students who visit the Pantry are able to access food and hygiene items necessary to meet their needs as they work toward academic success.
The 57 participants in the summer production of Dreamworks’ Trolls Jr. worked with props and set pieces and enjoyed snacks thanks to Brightspeed’s sponsorship.
