Martinsville DuPont Credit Union donated $15,000 to the Patrick Henry Community College Foundation on Sept. 25. The donation represents a commitment of $5,000 per year over the next three years.
“The funds donated by MDCU have been marked as general education to help the college plan for direct and immediate educational needs and will serve to help seed major projects,” said Christopher Parker, vice president for Institutional Advancement and Campus Life at PHCC.
The Foundation's vision is to make Patrick Henry Community College an invaluable resource to those in the area by providing an affordable, quality education. This will ultimately create an educated workforce that will help the region grow.
“MDCU is honored to support the PHCC Foundation and their great work within our community,” said Delbert Lee Morgan, president and CEO of MDCU. “Increasing the opportunity for educational advancement and training within southwest Virginia helps the entire region. MDCU is proud to be part of this solution.”
